Grade 1 Landscapes

Grade 1 artists have completed landscape paintings that show perspective. They also used paint to create the illusion of texture in the parts of the landscape that are close up. Then they created their own characters to personalize their landscapes. Great job, Grade 1 artists! Look closely at these paintings to see which parts are close, medium, or far away, and also to imagine a story taking place between the characters!

"Elham - Inspiration" Exhibition

On Wednesday, March 18 at 3:15 PM, the new AISW Galleria was opened with an exhibition called “Elham (in English, Inspiration)”. This gallery space is a very exciting venture for the Art Department and our school community! To open the Galleria, we held an exhibit which showcased the work of a variety of artists and photographers on our school staff. The event lived up to the exhibition's name, and was inspiring for all. Dr. Walther Hetzer shared his excitement and vision for our new Galleria, including that he hopes that it will aid in keeping the arts as one of the signature elements of our school. With so much talent among our staff and students, that vision will not be hard to maintain!
