Dear AISW families,
The following Galleria Show and Invitation are beginning this week. We hope you will stop by the Galleria to enjoy the artwork, and also to consider whether you or someone you know would like to submit work to be exhibited this year!!
At AISEW, we celebrate the arts in their various forms. We also
celebrate our school community! Therefore, we are currently welcoming
submissions for artwork from our community to be exhibited in our Galleria this
year. We want to include a variety of artwork from our school staff and
families, and possibly from the greater Cairo community.
We need you!! How can you help? If you are an artist, you can submit a
body of artwork for exhibition. If you do not make art yourself, you can spread
the word to current artists whom you know in your circle of family or friends,
and invite them to make a submission.
Guidelines for Submissions:
What do I submit? Prepare a body
of work – 10 or more artworks. Artworks must be ready to hang, either stretched
on canvas or framed. However, if you need help, AISEW may have some frames. In
addition, please prepare a short description of your work, including the type
of artwork, dates created, titles of pieces, and theme or purpose of the body
of work.
How do I submit? Email Ms. Krista at kcary@aiswest.com.
Include pictures of your artwork and the description mentioned above. Also
include the time frame for when your work is available for display (for
example: available for display Jan 5 through February 12). If your submission
is accepted, you will be notified of when your work should be brought in to the
Galleria.
When do I
submit? Submissions are
being accepted until December 6. If you have further questions about
submissions, please contact Ms. Krista.
